Cornwall Architectural Design Ltd (CAD) is a chartered building surveying and sustainable architectural design practice based in Cornwall. CAD specialises in planning permissions, building regulations, listed building consent and project consultancy for new builds, extensions, barn conversions, oak frame, restoration and sustainable eco-developments throughout the South West. We also regularly work with international clients on homes in Cornwall and abroad. Pre-purchase building surveys and ‘walk and talk’ mini surveys are undertaken on properties by RICS qualified Chartered Surveyors.

Our aim is to design sustainable buildings which sit comfortably in their surroundings, but also inspire and excite. Cornwall Architectural Design provides a full range of architectural services from concept to completion throughout Cornwall and the south west including sketch schemes, planning permission, listed building consent, building regulations approval and contract administration during construction. We do not have a ‘house style’ but instead we work closely with you to develop a design that is uniquely right. Our design work varies from working with traditional, historic buildings to contemporary, modern projects.

As Chartered Building Surveyors, we specialise in building surveys of traditional, listed and historic buildings in the locality, including Truro, Helston, Falmouth and throughout Cornwall. Whether you are buying a home or an investment property, you are making a huge purchase and committing your money to a physical asset. A pre-purchase survey will not only give you peace of mind but also the knowledge up front of what is wrong with your chosen property. With the information from the survey you might re-consider whether to buy the property or use the unbiased information you have to renegotiate the price.

Our national heritage is one of our most valuable assets and works to historic buildings require great care, understanding, and a sympathetic approach. Cornwall Architectural Design is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and works with historic and listed buildings throughout Cornwall. The practice can provide an extensive range of professional services from individual historic building survey reports to designing, specifying and administering projects on site through to completion.
SUSTAINABLE DESIGN
Our planet is fragile, and it is clear that our actions have and continue to affect the earth. Change is required if we are to slow and ultimately reverse this phenomenon, and to achieve this, sound, sustainable, eco-design and construction using both established traditional techniques as well as renewable modern methods and materials need to be incorporated in all projects.
