Carne Quarry-Contemporary sunroom extension

The Brief – The owners brief was to add a small rear extension to their existing home that would form a modern, light and airy Sun Room allowing the occupants to spill out onto the private rear sun terrace. The extension should be of high quality to seamlessly match the style of the existing property.
The Design –Double doors lead out from the Sun Room to the rear patio and down to the swimming pool. The extension was designed to have a large roof lantern over to flood the space with light which will also provide borrowed light to the Lounge. The construction incorporates environmentally friendly and matching high quality materials as well as high levels of insulation to minimise the use of heating.
Project work undertaken by CAD before construction could take place included a full measured, level and structural survey, design concept and sketch schemes, full planning permission and building regulations approval including specification and large scale construction drawings.
